TRADITIONAL PREPARATION

Carding is, within all the textile operations, one of the most demanding on the fibres.

By using a proper type of preparation, it is possible to reduce, as much as possible, the stress involved.

More over, the processing of blends of different fibre types and/or colours requires operations of homogenisation over large quantities.

The different steps of this part of the process call for specific equipments.

> LOADING AND PRE-OPENING

  • The Bale Tipper (BAS) is designed for removing bindings and wrappings from bales and for the easy loading of one or up to three bales, in side-by-side arrangement, onto a conveyor or a machine.

  • The Feed Table (TBL) is used for the regular forwarding of bales towards a bale breaker by means of an endless metallic or antistatic Transilon conveyor.

  • The Volumetric Bale Breaker (CHV) is a textile fibre opening and blending machine designed for the regular feed of an opening machine. It has the required robustness for opening of compressed bales at the beginning of a preparation line.

  • The Wide Bale Breaker with metallic Lattice (OBT) is a highly productive machine which is capable of opening, simultaneously, several compressed bales, assuring the mixing of the various bales in course of the process.

> OPENING, CLEANING AND BLENDING

The Intermittent Beater "SHAKER" (SHA) is designed for cleaning (de-dusting), opening and blending the textile fibres. The Shaker can process cotton wastes, hairs, jute as well as wool and synthetics.

> OPENING AND BLENDING

  • The Fearnought Picker (LPC) is a high production machine for perfectly preparing the textile fibres for blending and carding, thanks to its 3 carding group arrangement on the swift and its delivery doffer.
  • The Picker (PIC) is mainly designed for opening synthetic fibres. It is perfectly suitable for long fibre opening in the semi-worsted process.

> BLENDING, STORAGE AND HOMOGENISATION

  • The Mobile Bin Emptier (VID) can be used to serve several storage bins. Its purpose is to perfect the blending process by taking vertical slices from the pile of fibres laid down in horizontal lays.

  • The Automatic Self -Emptying Blending Bin (CVA) with fixed emptier and conveying bottom lattice can be simultaneously filled and emptied in continuous duty. It is recommended for small size blends and can also be used for the continuous feed of cards and carding sets.

> OILING DEVICES

  • The Oiling Table (TBE) and Oiling Tube (TUE) are designed for the addition of water, oil or anti-static emulsions to the fibres.

  • The Oiling Preparation and Storage Units (ENS) are fitted with metering pumps for the accurate and even distribution of the flow of oiling product on the fibres.

> METAL DETECTOR

The Metal Particles Detector and Remover (DMX) reduces, to a great extend, the risk of having a metallic foreign body running through the card with all the damages it causes to the card clothing. Ferrous as well as non-ferrous metallic bodies are detected and removed without having to stop the line.

> PNEUMATIC CONVEYING

To go from one operation to the next, HDB can supply the complete inventory of pneumatic conveying equipment :

  • Fans (VLR)
  • Pipe switches (EMB)
  • Condensers (CDR)
  • straight or elbow tubes,

as well as fixed or telescopic cyclones or auto-gyrators for the fibre distribution into the storage bins.

> CENTRALIZED CONTROL

The Video Synoptic ensures the centralized control of the complete preparation process with visualization of the circuits on a screen. All the machines and circuits are controlled with the help of a computer.
