BLENDING AND OPENING SPECIFIC TO NONWOVENS

Nonwovens Industry very often requires specific equipment for the preparation for the carding , mostly due to the type of fibres and blends usually processed.

In combination with the most traditional preparation equipment, HDB 1823 offers a full range of preparation machines specially designed for the processing of the fibres used in the Nonwoven Industry.

> METERING LINES WITH WEIGHING SCALES

A metering line delivers, onto a collecting table, a perfectly mixed fibre mass obtained from simultaneous weighing of the various components, without any manual intervention except feeding the bale breakers with bales of fibres. It is composed of the following machines :

Two or more Weighing Bale breakers (CHP) each made of one feed table to bring fibres to the bale breaker, with, at the output side, a weighing tray, built on an independent frame.

The weighed quantities of the various components are delivered on the Blending Conveyor (TPE).

An Electronic Control Panel, incorporating a display screen and a keyboard with function keys and numeric pad for data input, controls the line. The computer is in charge of the centralized control of all the machines according to the parameters keyed-in during the programming operation.

> OPENING

The Horizontal Opener (OFH) is normally located at the output side of the blending conveyor and is able to process all kind of fibres.

The Turbo Fine Opener (TFO) is an original piece of equipment, requiring little floor space for a high production rate. It has been designed for efficient opening of natural, artificial and synthetic fibres with length up to 100 mm. Very simple from a mechanical point of view and thus very easy to operate, its' extraordinary accessibility makes possible a substantial reduction of the cleaning time between two successive batches.

In order to achieve a high degree of opening before carding, the vertical Fine Opener (FTO) with 3 wire- clothed rollers is used. This is fed through a Fibre / Air Separator (FAS) and a Feed Silo (FC).
