The HP Nonwoven cards designed by HDB are based on a modular structure allowing, from a common base, to offer to the user the machine corresponding exactly to his needs.

The main features of those cards are :

  • Feed of the machine either through a classical volumetric hopper feeder CVT or, for short fibres through the CF-S chute feed with FCU external fibre reserve.
  • Regulation of the card feeding through the SERVOLAP ® ® regulating device and large diameter feed roller with overhead tray plate . This set-up allows a gentle flow of the material forming the fibre batt. Manual adjustment with micrometric wheel and linear guides lead to a very precise positioning of the tray plate in relation with the feed roller, permitting the processing of fibres up to 150 mm in the wider working widths (above 4.000 mm).
  • Workers and strippers with minimal deflection, making possible, even in the wider working widths, very close distance settings guaranteeing the best carding action.
  • Very efficient suction device with 12 strategically-positioned suction points, reducing the stops for cleaning purpose.
  • All the sections of the card, including the one of the swift, can easily be moved off and back; this reduces the down times due to maintenance purpose.
  • The covers have been designed to optimise the air flow inside of the machine to avoid fibre accumulation.
  • Different delivery technologies to produce all the web types (parallel, randomised, condensed or randomised condensed).
  • Web extraction adapted to the highest delivery speeds.
  • Separate drives for the card through the most recent techniques of frequency control provided by SIEMENS.
  • Synchronization of those drives through computer controlled MECATRONIC ® process, based on a long experience of almost 20 years, is achieved from a central command console, either with start-stop and speed variation commands or with touch-pad video screen with permanent display of all the speed and production related parameters.

The BOOSTER CARD®

Production and efficiency

Last one born in the family of Houget Duesberg Bosson Nonwoven cards, the BOOSTER CARD® is characterized by an enhanced production capacity and a significantly increased blending and carding power.

The novelty in the BOOSTER CARD® design is the use of a larger breast cylinder, with a strong pre- carding power, combined with an orginal set-up for the transfer, in two steps, of the web between the breast- and the main cylinders.

This new transfer mode is very efficient as the entire web is brought to the main swift, leaving the breast cylinder absolutely fibre-free on the downward portion of its path. This breast cylinder will then be able to collect a maximum amount of new fibres from the feeding system, allowing by the way a significant increase of the through-put capacity of the machine, without any risk of overloading due to the recycled fibres and without the associated formation of neps in the web.

In addition, that double transfer has as a consequence an improvement of the quality of web because eventual un-evenesses in the web on the breast cylinder are transferred in two out-phased steps to the main cylinder, reducing by the way their relative impact on the final web quality.
