Traditional machines use the drive mechanical devices as variators with manual or electrical command, gears or pulleys to be changed, etc. Besides the inconvenience of sometimes limited setting ranges, those devices require most of the times that the machine be stopped to proceed with the change. Then to be re-started and to reach its' cruising speed to be able to judge the results of the change.Moreover, in the case of mechanical variators, it is sometimes very hard to reproduce, at a later stage, the good settings previously obtained.

The MECATRONIC ® concept consists of the individualisation of the drive of the different elements of the machine and of the control of their synchronization with the help of a computer. This enables the separate setting of a very precise speed of each of the elements. All those commands are centralized from a keyboard with direct visualization of all the speeds and settings on a video screen. This makes possible a very precise fine-tuning of the machine to realize products of high quality at optimal speeds.

In addition, most of those settings can be performed while the machine is running which allows the operator to check immediately the effect of the modification performed.

Finally when the right combination of settings is obtained, it is possible to record the data on a floppy disk allowing them to be reproduced at a later date without prior presetting.

Those last two characteristics enable the reduction of the down times of the machines and result in increase the productivity.
